Ahhh, Grand Rapids. So much inspiration! Kristina and Ben live a short distance from this cute little area and sent me photos beforehand, among other locations. Ben: "This spot is sort of warehouse-y." Me: "Oooh, cool!" I don't get a lot of requests for this kind of shoot around Lansing, but it's so fun and I'm planning to hunt for some closer locales in my off-season. The colors and textures make such interesting backgrounds... I just eat that stuff up. ;) We walked for blocks until almost dark, chatting about Ben's classes and their wedding next May. As we finished, the lights around the city were just coming up in the distance underneath a soft sunset. The perfect late-Summer evening.
I saw a shot like this somewhere a while back. I think our version is adorable...
