Erin + Shane :: 9.19.09

This wedding was an absolute blast- and I think I speak for everyone who was there! I met Erin and Shane through one of my favorite 2006 couples, Renee and Scott. Returning to the same church in Ferndale three years later to shoot their close friends meant a lot to me. I say it all the time- I just love my job. :)
After a little hiccup pre-ceremony regarding transportation (there was no way Erin was missing her own wedding!), the ceremony went off without a hitch and was beautifully unique. Their soloist sang a favorite Beatles song after the ring exchange, "All You Need is Love." Is there a more perfect wedding song??! For photos, we headed to downtown Detroit and the Riverwalk. Ooh, that was a fun location, complete with a carousel! What bride doesn't want to kiss her handsome man on a carousel?? We also took complete advantage of those skyscrapers and that rockin' Windsor skyline. Then, it was off to the big celebration, where everyone partied till the wee hours- I was exhausted just watching things unfold! Without further ado, a few favorites of mine...

Loving Erin's smile!

Four of the bridesmaids were Erin's sisters...

Married!!!

Erin's dad was so proud. :)

LOVE this...

Now that's a happy-groom face!
Yummy!!!

Mmmm. I heart love. :) Another favorite...

I don't think Erin's smile left her face all day!

This next one needs an explanation... They are doing to motions to the very quirky "Unicorn Song." I haven't heard it since I was little and had forgotten how much I loved it- what a blast from the past! Erin's entire family got up and partied to it, to the great amusement of the other guests. So cool!

That's the unicorn's horn, in case you were wondering...

Erin and Shane, your wedding day was amazing and I'm blessed to have witnessed it! Happiness forever, guys! And enjoy that sweet wedding date... it's done well for us so far! ;) (PS, your full gallery is online now- your password is your new last name. Enjoy!!)
