Teresa + Jamie :: 8.9.09

Oh, Teresa and Jamie, how I loved your wedding day! It was a smokin' hot August weekend... one of those humid Michigan days in which one finds it hard to breathe. Warning: I'm going to go totally cheesy now... I can't helpt it... the only reason Teresa and Jamie had trouble breathing was the sight of each other down the aisle. Teresa had built up the anticipation nicely with her gift to Jamie. He. Was. Speechless. ;) As an awesome testament to how excited these two were to get married, not one word about the heat. Love that... so caught up in the amazing-ness of getting married! Every wedding should be like that! :)

Without further ado, here's your previews, guys. And in case you are interested, your gallery is online as well... your password is your new last name. ;)

Their ringbearer. So cute.

Yay!!!!!!!!
Did I mention it was a very breezy, humid day?? Is that actually possible?

Caution: kissing ahead...

Yes. That is Teresa rockin' the air guitar. Love it!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding with me, Teresa and Jamie! Happiness!

Inspiration :: Hair

As one of two girls, I grew up putting pretty things in my hair (well... I guess the big taffeta bow barrettes of the late 80's weren't so flattering...). But I'm always looking for something unique. So I'm very excited to share these adorable poppy barrettes, created by none other than one of my very talented 2006 brides, Cori. She has a shop on Etsy, where she sells these fabulous little creations, http://brownjoey.etsy.com/. I can think of a million pretty ways to wear them, especially for brides and bridesmaids. Go grab a few- you know you want to... :)

Yasaman + John :: Engaged!

These two know how to work it out!! Before our shoot, Yasaman said she didn't want too many "kissy" photos. Ummm, I think John had other ideas... there was a lot of kissing going on! ;) But FYI, that's sort of the thing to do during engagement photos. Oh and laugh. A lot. Which again, Yasaman and John did quite frequently. :) This is one of my favorite sessions of the summer- the colors, the bright sky, lots of splashing around in the fountain.. so fun.

I had a BLAST guys and can't wait for your big day next August! Here are some previews for you (I had trouble narrowing it down- a good problem to have!). Thanks for a fabulous shoot!

L-O-V-E this. :)

There is literally smoke coming off this image...

They met during basketball class at MSU. Can you guess John's last name...?

Thankful

As I plow through my busy Friday, I am reflecting on what tomorrow will be...

*Tomorrow is Saturday.
*Tomorrow is not my day off.
*Tomorrow will bring another wedding and another wonderful couple who will share the best day of their lives with me.
*Tomorrow will remind me of what I have yet to finish.
*Tomorrow's messes will be Sunday's worries and my hubby will put my baby to bed without me. Hopefully.
*Tomorrow marks six years that my best friend has been putting up with me. And he does put up with me.
*Tomorrow will be a wonderful day.

Thank you to my amazing husband for the best six years of my life! I love you!

Brooke + Matt :: 8.8.09

Having shot a few(!) weddings on campus this summer, I was happy to capture Brook and Matt's adorable first meeting at Beaumont tower, which is just a minute from the MSU Chapel. We were dodging the rain all day (as I did for most of my August weddings!), so we kept things abbreviated and were glad to stay close by. Their day went off without a hitch or a raindrop, thankfully! Here are just a handful of my faves (and check out their cute-as-pie flower girl and ring bearer!).

Brooke and Matt, a huge thank you for chosing me as your photographer! Your wedding was a blast- here's to happiness!!
