Aimee and Paul :: 6.22.08

These two are an amazing couple. Paul has been away in Iraq for months and finally made it home just weeks before the wedding. When I met with Aimee last year, I could see how much she missed him and couldn't wait till June. They got married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Waldenwoods. It was almost rained out, like the wedding the day before... the stormclouds were flying over the lake, which made for some really moody lighting. It never rained, though and the clouds even parted when Aimee and her dad headed down the aisle (Aimee's mom said that was her grandma watching from above, giving her a little sun on her big day. Aww.) The reception was a blast at the Cromaine Lodge overlooking the lake. That place just oozes with romance!

Jodi and Darren- Newlyweds!

These two were without question one of the coolest couples I've photographed. Their wedding was planned to be held at the Heritage Park gazebo. Notice I said "was planned." This June wedding wasn't to be a bright and sunny one due to the steady rain that poured all day. Waiting until 15 minutes before the ceremony to change your location is living on the edge, I can tell you! Regardless, it was a fabulous celebration of Jodi and Darren's commitment. The ceremony was moved (in the blink of an eye!) to the lobby of the Summit in Canton, which allowed for some sweet camera angles for me. Love that! The party that followed was wild and crazy- and just exactly the way Jodi and Darren planned it.

What's so funny, Jodi?
Have you seen a cuter flower girl?

How gorgeous is Jodi. Wow.

A few tears are good to get out of the way before the walk down the aisle...

Cheers!!

I think she might cry... (me, too!)

Love that look on Darren's face as he sees Jodi- always one of the day's best moments...

Jodi's dad was so proud.

Husband and wife!

Okay guys, we're ready for the toasts...

Duck!

Oh, how I love dance floor lighting!

My fave...

What is it about daddies and daughters that makes me cry every time?

I adored every minute covering this day. Jodi and Darren, a huge thanks for making my job a piece of cake. Your wedding was a joy to witness!
